tranny problems

Default tranny problems

im trying to put an si tranny on my d15 and ive been fighting with it trying to get the input shaft splines to line up... i dont have an engine hoist or a extra jack so im just trying to muscle it in..

has anybody dont this or have some tricks that could help me out becasuse im about to give up after fighting with this thing for 2 hours

get a friend with an extra jack to come over and help.

lol aggrivation will be accomplished i just dropped a tranny in the other month...get a friend and have the strongest one on bottom then the other on top and that should relieve the weight of the tranny then line up what it is u need n u should be good to go goodluck

jack up the engine and put somthing under it and use the jack to get the tranny in there. you can look through that starter hole if you need to see the input splines.

I have muscled a few trannies into place in my day. It is not fun. The easiest way is to have the engine out of the car, but I have never had that luxury when working on my tranny. The hardest part is getting it lined up and started. Once you have it on you are good to go.
