zc tranny question?..ideas

Default zc tranny question?..ideas

ok i have a question i have been reading hat people are putting zc trannys in there civics. my question is would a zc bolt up to a d15b bottom end and what azels would you have to use and what not just a question i have.. like i know i can use a si tranny in my std civic and no problems but what problems would people run into with a zc tranny

Which is better zc or si tranny??

si is better, and it'll bolt right up. all d series. stock axles are fine.

if you had a zc trany what kinda clutch would you need to get any new 88-91 civic ??
does it matter

pretty sure its just a dseries clutch.

you have to get a clutch that matches the tranny...ive ran into this problem b4, i had an 88SI tranny and a 90-91SI clutch and it would not work...the spline count on the tranny's input shaft are not always the same....make sure and buy the clutch for the tranny you are using...and i can also tell you that the ZC flywheel and the 90-91 flywheel are different...i had to reuse my old PP when i changed my clutch because i had the ZC flywheel and ordered a 90-91SI clutch/PP.......dunno if this helps any but just my lil info on the ongle cams....

not always....some of the ZC tranny's came with an LSD...and i believe when you use the ZC tranny you have to use the ZC axels i think they are different i know they have half-shafts like b-series do...where as apposed to an SI they dont have half-shafts...i may be wrong but i think thats how they are.... i havent mest with a once cam in a while....
