if you already have a z6, keep it. the a6's are stout and take boost well but the z6 vtec heads flow better and if your boosting the stock motor the z6 is going to make more power

isnt an a1 the dohc ? i wouldnt bother with it, i would use a z6. They do pretty well with boost. I was just reading of one with a home made setup pushin 244 to the wheels.

Yeah, the a1 and zc are both dual cam d series, im pretty sure the a1 has different tranny/engine mounts and might be a bitch to swap..+2 votes for z6

or you could always take your stock y8 and put a non vtec head on it, to lower the compression.

He doesn't have a stock y8, he has a shell right now..

Also doug, look at some of these numbers, and their setups and you will be VERY VERY impressed.. http://turbod16.com/viewtopic.php?t=4140
