i am looking to get a K series motor and put it in my hatch. I found a Rsx Type S with less that 15k miles on it with warranty for $3k - complete swap. I thought these engines were more expensive. what do you guys think about this price. Open for discussion.. thanks guys

haahaa nope Its at a place where they sell just motors in NY. Its a huge ware house with tons of motors. plus you can buy a warranty on the motor too for like 200$ you get a 2 year warranty. I thought it was soo cheap when i saw this. But to answer your question. No its not stolen.

 

hondamike im going up to Ny within this month to go check it out and they run the engine in front of you to make sure its in working condition.. LMK haha

im pretty sure they arnt they come with all paper work and which car it came out of. I was told they come out of wrecked or damaged cars bought by this company and they do a check on the engine when they pull it out of the car, fix whatever was damaged (if there is any damage to the engine), put it through tests and such to make sure it is 100% in working condition. Plus there is a warranty you can get for it. This is why im going up there to check out the scene make sure everything legal before i just buy it and have them ship it to my house.

 

If they really are this cheap you shouldnt think twice about picking one up

 

They come out of cars like this.. but they make sure it is in 100% working condition and comes with warranty.
I thought when a car is totaled the car and engine can be sold leagally the price of whats its really worth not totaled. (not sure just heard it from my insurance company) Any info on "selling totaled/salvage" car engines would be helpful.
They have other Rsx type-s engines for sale that are more expensive. they range from 3k-7k. the one i want is 3k and it has like 40k miles on it. this one is more expensive. less miles on it and newer year enging.
