compression test

Default compression test

well i did a compression test on my car today and the numbers are:181,190,185,184
its a stock h22 motor and to me it seems kind of low
if anyone knows the right numbers please inform me.thanks

Looks ok, they're all fairly even. As for being low what is stock compression?

10:6:1 i believe,but shouldnt it be in the 200 range.

200psi is about 9:1 I THINK! not sure thought my D16Z6 is 9.2:1 and its 210-220psi

You are primarely looking for consistency. Did you do the tests at Wide Open Throttle ?

to do it corectly you are supposed stop fuel being sent into the cylinders I usually pull the injector plugs and your supposed to open the throttle body full throttle then crank the motor over with all the plugs taken out of the cylinders. thats what the ASE certification board says.

Also know that different gages will read differently. I can pull two different gauges I have out and get a +20 psi difference when going between an old cheap set I have and a Matco set I have. The key is to look for consistency as was previously mentioned. You're results look ok and you don't have anything to worry about.
