clutch switch?

i thikn it went bad, the switch looks fine visually. The little plastic thing seems to be intact and pushes down and pops back out fine.

replace it w/ a ford one from discount auto, thats what i did. it was only 8 bux. visually u wont know its broke.

not the plastic end of the switch!!! the plastic plug that is in the clutch pedal that pushes the switch!
99.9% of the time, that's what's wrong with them!!! same for brake light switch too!

i have NO idea, and not sure how to test... im new to this stuff im used to my mustang that i get in and start up EVERY Day and be slow lol
