I bought that kids gay gsr engine. Revs at 3k throws a knock sensor code and surges between 3k to 1k to 3k rpms. Was it doing this before?

That's good to hear. I just put this 99 gsr motor in my 2000 gsr. The thing revs at 3k till it's warm, then it jumps between 2-3k rpm, over and over. I'm also throwing a cel code 23 (knock sensor). I replaced the KS with a working unit, same CEL code 23. I think the obd1 ecu will solve that knock sensor issue, so i'm not sweating that. But, do you know why the thing would be revving like that though?

Thanks man.
