ight my girls teg is pulling codes..code p0420catalyst efficieny below treshold (bank1) and p1456 manufacturers control auxilary emissions controls...
wtf does that mean...do i need a new cat or is it just a sensor...also this just started happening i turn the key to start it and it hesitates but then turned over...maybe alt ...starter????bad gas???...my girl is harssing me about this so let me know

P0420 usually caused by failing converter...or complete lack of converter.
If the converter is still there and the car is under 80,000 miles...it may be covered under factory emission warranty.(8 years/80,000 miles on PCM and catalytic converter only)
you would need to contact your local acura dealer to confirm coverage.
P1456 has to do with a leak in the evaporative emmision system (gas tank fume management) specifically the tank part of the system. most commonly caused by loose, missing, or wrong gas cap.
I work as a tech at a honda dealer so this is first hand knowledge.
