Right, I was thinking simple meant something in the lines of H/I/E mabye a OBD1 ecu/crome??, and a few other small goodies, but the list above is much more than simple. everyone seems to think the 200WHP is a easy task to do. It takes a little more than most think. like I stated up above. A ITR with H/I/E camgears(unsure if it had diff cams) 310cc injectors, around 11:8:1-12:0:1 comp pistons. with a P28ECU tuned put out a little less than 165WHP on a mustang dyno(a load dyno, not a high number dynojet dyno) If the car was put on a dynojet dyno it would of been around 200-200+WHP.

That setup in itself is kinda simple, But simple goes out the door for some when you involve internal work. To reach the 200WHP mark easier Internal work (high comp pistons, cams or headwork) is the best way to go. Bolt-ons alone make it kinda hard to reach that goal with a 1.8, unless your name is CxCivic and all you ever own is nasty fast NA cars or if you let me or Mtber tune it for you

i love posts like this. 200whp is not as easy as most people think. 200 is not super hard but its far bolt ons. Neal hit 200 on OEM internals(only person i know to do that) , Y2JAY hit 200 on a stock itr shortblock w/ a portflow head and sk2stg2 cams on a chiped ecm. Bigbodysmith hit 200+ on a 1.8 setup. the list is not very long for locals making 200 on a 1.8 displacement NA. i didnt make 200 till i steped up to 2.0 displacement . good luck on your quest.

Yes VAFC, they are okay tunning devices but the customer will put hondata on soon. The only reason I said simple was because the internals was done when we got the swap or basically while the motor was out. He knew what he wanted when he came to us. See most people get a motor put it in then come back later saying they want to get 200whp all motor, turbo, or don't have the money right now. To me it is simple when you know what you want, have the money for it, and do it the right way the first time. I know internals are not easy but if you have the motor out and know what you want it is easier I should say. He still was driving his single cam while we put together his motor. To me that is simple and easy only thing left he had to do was get it tuned. He did it all in one day got it installed and tuned it an made 200whp with a vafc.
