grind in reverse and first
my friend came up to me today and asked if i new what was wrong with car. so i went out there and took it for a spin. its a 98 civic ex. she said when you put it in reverse and first it grinds. but the thing is it doesnt always do it. so im just wondering if anyone has any suggestions.

lol its a honda almost everyone does that. ummm try this...... b4 u go into reverse put it in first gear then put it in revers.... problem solved

Reverse gears in almost all Honda's ARENT syncronized. Do as said above and put it in first before going into reverse!

bad idea
first of all the first gear synchros are used more often than the others so why would you wanna put more use on them? when you want to go in reverse just push the clutch in and wait a second then put it in reverse. this way you dont pointlessly use the synchros and besides you never have to get into reverse in a hurry.
