how hard is it to rebuild a ys1 tranny.....or......where is a good place to have it done and how much would it be?........normally i just get a new tranny but this one isnt easy to find and when you do find it there very expensive....thanks for the help

there easy to rebuild yourself. Get a service manual for your transmission like a 90-93 gsr.
syncros are sold as as set though. So it would be cheaper to maybe look at gearspeed.com. Iam not sure.

a ys1 tranni is a great tranni to rebuild u can use hydro gears so youve got lots of options...ask cxcivic he can ,i believe rebuild trannies also know as neil sutton...dav civic how much????

No problem, I just know how it is, I'm currently going thru a tranny swap/problem with my WRX, It was "cheaper" to get a new transmission, I still spent $1500........
