Im in a bind right now.. Im stuck in between 2 Directions for setups.. Currently Im doing a Mini Me build which is looking like:

D16Y7 Block
D16Y8 Head ( Going to Be building up the head Slightly)
Typical Boltons
Building this setup for Turbo (T3/T4 T04E)

My Question is this.. Should i continue building this SOHC Motor in proceeding into Turboing it and investing all the time and money into it or should I just save up for a LS vtec or any of those other B series motors.. This is what Im looking to gain.. I want speed and acceleration good 1/4 times etc.. Will a SOHC turbo build be worth my time and effort? Im scared ill get done with the build and be highly dissapointed.. So in all honesty people steer me in the right Direction for what Im LOOKING TO ACCOMPLISH! not what you all perfer.. I dont want to start a SOHC vs DOHC honda War in this thread.. Thanks for Reading Guys! REP POINTS FOR ALL

 

sohc might be good for your budget, and is a road less traveled.

however, a DOHC has easier/more potential down the road.

its really up to you, you can build similar setups, the sohc would just be more expensive (as a generalization).

 

in the long run DOHC will perform better then a once cam....Hands down.

It is all in how deep your pockets are.

 

Cold_Beer.. I might have to rebuy that VSS from you.. the prong on mine finely broke off and the prog in the plug broke lol wee for me Tell Josh to arrange a time I can pick it up.
