Default OK people, lets find out what is wrong here....

Motor is a 98 b20b w/ 90 LS intake manifold , 91 LS map sensor ( not on throttle bodie (maybe the problem?) )
car is a 95 cx hatch, it had a gsr in it befor so all the wiring was right. Here is the problem. When driving the car , IE: not " getting on it " when you give it partial throttle the car bogs....liek it isnt getting any fuel, all intake noise. But if it gets full throttle at that point....BAM ! tires squeel it gets full power.

Now the car is throwing 1 CEL , and that is 10 , the IAT sensor. ECU is Virgin PR4. I dont think that would cause what is happengin though. the wiring looks fine , the IAT has been replaced twice , ecu has been replaced 3 times.

IM STUMPED. I dont know what the fuck. Maybe a injector problem? NO i have chaged them out twice also. I change the fuel filter.

maybe fuel pump???? it ran fine before though?

a stock ls ecu is not going to provide enough fuel for that motor. at WOT the stock ecu will over fuel a motor into the 12's AFR but with that b20 you might be in the mid 13's which will let it run pretty good at WOT...partial throttle is a different story tho..... that MIGHT be the problem

im sure the iat isnt helping the situation either. fix that to eliminate that as a possible issue...easy fix

yes , the IAT is getting fixed tomorrow.

As far as the LS ecu running it , I dunno....i ran my old b20 with a Obd0 ls ecu in my CRX and it didnt have any problems. I have a chipped P72 ill see about getting a chip done for that .


I am stumped , I'm going to fix the IAT tomorrow , most likely direct wire it. And im going to change the Throttle bodie out for a 94 model. Hopefully that will fix it.

yeah i would swap out that T body for the proper one, im not sure if they read any different as far as input to the ecu, but im pretty sure they do have something to do with it.

i know using an LS OBD-0 map on a crx si makes it run like as and stumble all over the place

a bad O2 will make it do something of the same too

sometimes they wont. weird. and like the code for "fuel supply" is an O2 as well.

but i would ditch that T body and get an OBD I model

Throwing an IAT cel is a major issue... Fix it then report back.

well , i changed the IAT sensor and it threw no code. The car was still doing what it was doing but not NEARLY as bad. So i took the car for a spin. Drove for about 10min, Then it threw a CEL and starting ding it really bad again. also the IAT sensor that i pulled out had a crack/hole in it, So i am guessin it was bad.

MY next step is wiring. I am fixing to go back thru and triple check all the wiring.

PRoblem is fixed. I pulled the old harness. Made a NEW Swap harness ( basicly just some extended wires) and it is good to . No CEL's etc.Ill pulle the old harness apart tomorrow and see what the problem is exactly........ Time for some tuning now
