Default help with my 94 accord

alright well i had this problem a couple of weeks ago, but it just went away and the car hasnt caused me a problem until today. i was driving and noticed the car sputtered once so i pulled it into a gas station and put a couple gallons in the tank.. i started driving again and shortly when i got to a stop sign the car died. i started it up again and it died immediatly.. i got it to finally start once more and started driving home and while i was driving with my foot on the gas, the pedal sort of sank in and i could tell that the engine wasnt being fed gas.. the car never shut off at all and like a couple seconds after that happend the car let gas in again. i got the car home and now everytime i get to low in rpms the car will shut off, like if i slow down to stop at a stop sign or light. i can hear the fuel pump starting up wheni move the key to the ON position, so what could this possibly be? has anyone else had the same problem? i really need this fixed because im taking a 16 hour trip in the car next weekend so help would be greatly appreciated..

but would the alternator, fail like this everyonce in a while? the car drove perfect for the last week and a half, when the same problem happend before? could it be some kind of part getting hot (fuel pump, alternator, ignition relay, ignition) causing it to fail? i brought the car to "leisure automotive" so hopefully these crackers will spread some light..
