Check engine Light Came On...

Default Check engine Light Came On...

Im driving back from lunch and all of a sudden the check engine light is on and my speedo doesnt work anymore.. wtf is this.. and how do I check the CEL Code.. Im use the the blinking lights on the actual ECU but this 1 doesnt have that.. where do I read the Codes at? Its a 1996 Civic LX with a D16Y7 outta a 2000 Civic.. Let me know please guys.

You have to jump the ecu their is a blue plug on the passanger side under the dash use a paperclip or a piece of wire and jump the plug and the check engine light will flash the code on the dash

how much do those senors go for brand new?

dont just go buy a new one, confirm what the problem is before you pull out the wallet. check your VSS connections and make usre they are clean and secure in place.

Where is this sensor located on the tranny.. I think it is the problem cause I have a broken tranny mount also that i need to fix..

just look for a 2 wire plug insert into the tranny.depends on the car, look on top and bottom,

its 3 wires ,and it is on top of the trans,under the area were the lower rad hose goes into the back side of the motor

Could it be possible that my broken trans mount cause the sensor to come unpluged?

which one is the one with 2.? i have one on my g2. at the botttom.
