Default whats best?

i have 96 hatch dx stock everything with 76,000 on it i was thinking b16 for price and availability but what all will i need? which b16 is best or easiest for obdII? how much work will i have to do to the donor motor? will it be best to buy a block and build the motor from the ground up? I am looking to keep it n/a with around 225whp for good streetability/driveability (daily driver). Also i want to upgrade the brakes front and convert to disks in the rear what parts from what cars are best for this in my app? any help is greatly appreciated.

for n/a a b16 would produce more power. the b16 you would probly wwant to get(i'm not that sure) is the civic si 99 you can make an ls b18 quicker than a b16 by doing other things to it besides the motor, with motor work as well it'll be even quicker imo..

You will not make 225whp with a b16a. For 225whp n/a you really need to build a 2.0L or bigger motor.

Anyways I'd get an obd1 swap and convert the car to obd1 when you do the swap. It keeps everything alot simpler.

you dont think i could get 225 on premium with a built b16? what about a b18? would it just be to unreliable? would i be better off to boost my d16y7 to death? or shoot for a lower number? what 2 litre are you talking about a frankenstein? would that be the best way to go? i kinna want to keep weight to a minimum to carve the turns tighter it isnt going to be a drag car.
