about to do a tranny flush, and the fluid calls for 10w-30 or 40 motor oil. now the question is has anyone ever used the lucas tranny fix stuff? the reason im asking is because my syncros in 3rd are pretty bad, (grinds every other time) and i was thinking maybe some of that thick tranny fix might help it a lil until i can get the funds to get thr problem fixed. any experiences with this product or advice?is it workth the $9 bottle? any would be appreciated. btw car is a 92 integra rs stock motor and trans.

 

Dont use that stuff... Go to Autozone and buy the Penzoil Syncromesh.... Stuff works great!!!

 

it will help my grinding problem in 3rd? also, when in 3rd, if i let off the pedal it sometimes pops out of gear, or when i turn.

and the syncro mesh , you mix it in after you put the oil in correct?

 

if you want the right tranny fluid only use HONDA MANUAL TRANNY FLUID. it costs more but has additive that oil does not have..honda tranny's call for MTF not oil...

 

Just use the Penzoil syncromesh... Only that... Nothing else.... Dont mix it or anything

 

IF anyone knows anything about breaking shit in the drivetrane ICS DOES and he know how to fix it , he knows whats up.

Im learning, slowly but surely... Ive got changing an axle down to a 10 minute science, Ive learned just about every weak point of the honda drivetrain, and Im learning new ways to keep it from breaking, AND Ive been reading up learning how to rebuild transmissions, although I dont have the proper tools (air tools etc.) nor the patience for it, so Id rather let Neal do all that
