Missing connector plug
My son has a 96 D16Y8 transplanted into a 92 Civic. A friend of mine who did the swap is currently in Iraq. The engine decided to spin some rod bearings so we pulled it and replaced the crank. Engine is back in but upon installing wiring harness, I can't find a plug to connect the crank sensor into the harness. Is it possible that this sensor is not needed for this conversion? ECU is a P28. Also, knock sensor broke apart. It is glued back together but can it be by passed if it throws a code?Any info is appreciated.
the 92 civic did not use a crank angle sensor. so the computer you have p28 does not have a input for the crank angle sensor. long story short there is no plug on your harness and you are good to leave it unplugged
Same with the knock sensor, don't worry about it.
