can i use a y8 gasket on a a6? is it the extra oil port that will make it not work. anyway i can make it work? thanks.

 

yes you can use a y8 headgasket on your a6. im assuming that is what youused when you did your mini me with the y8 head coolant and oil passages are all the same. only difference is the material used 88-91 d series use a metalic paper gasket(forget the proper name) and the 92-00 us a metal layer'd gasket however teh 92-95 use i believer 3 layer adn the 96+ use two..... i think

 

for the a6 head.thats what i was meaning. just want to make sure.
