Default intake manifold question z6 on d15b?

hey guys i have a couple of quick questions.

first of i have a d15b obd1 po8 in a 97 hatch. i bought the car this way, and it came with a y7 intake manifold. right now the car is running on a shitty obd2a dx ecu. i plan in jumping it to a obd1 p28 chipped to the po8 specs.

my question is, can i use a z6 intake manifold to get rid of the stupid vertical intake of the y7? since the car will be obd1 the manifold should work out great? also the ( a major reason) i wanna get rid of the y7 manifold is my spoon strut bar wont clear it.

thanks in advance!
kris

quick answer...yes and no.
Specifically the manifold will fit and function no problem.
BUT....you will need to modify wiring to work and will need to rewire idle air control valve to function with the OBD1 PCM.
not big deal stuff but need to know exactly what you are gonna do before you start.
