heres the setup; 93 civic dx hatch, hydro tranny. swapping in a jdm sirII (92-95 civic) b16. I will be using the cable A1 tranny from my older b16 out of my crx. I would prefer a hydro bseries (y1 ) but unless I can get it for about the same as the hasport conversion kit I'll have to wait.

so as I am getting the old b16 ready to pull out of the crx I go to disconnect the speedo cable from the tranny and it hits me.....The A1 tranny is a cable speedo and the civic is an electronic speedo. So my question is can I pull out the unit that the speedo cable attaches to and drop in the same electronic unit from my d-series civic hydro tranny? Or do I need to get one from an electronic b-series tranny? if I need one from a electronic b-series what year and model? Non-abs or doesn't matter? auto or stick or doesn't matter?

have you tried swaping the cable one for the electronic one i dotn see why it wouldnt work
