build/turbo single, or swap it?

Default build/turbo single, or swap it?

this has probably been coverd, and I apologize if it has. But I plan to switch to the honda world, and civics are looking like a good possability (that or integras). What would you say is better/cheaper. I plan to build somthing fun, that with slicks (yes with axles and stuff) can run mid-high 12's. I dont want to push my engine to its absolute limits where im worried of blowing it every time i get on it.. soo whats cheaper and easier? built single or probably stock turbo ls?

what other alternatives. I Dont wanna spend 3 grand on a GSR.. h22 isnt the best motor to turbo, what else is there? (thats practical, im looking for cost affective not crazy)

But yeah , cost effective....Stay single cam . 1.6 vtec , turbo , Obx diff , good tranny. Getterdone.

id say a stock turbo ls, clutch and fuel system...260whp no problem. easy 12's in a car less than 2500lbs with good tires

well it wont be a car less then 2500 pounds.. it will be a full weight civic ex more then likely. I want power everything ect.. Thats why i say built single cam.. as in pistons rods heads and all that goes along with that. I just know single cam's are basically free and replacing parts is cheap too. (correct me if im wrong). but i know the LS has more potential

11:1 compression i believe? it can be done dont get me wrong. but why get an h22 where parts are harder to come by and its going to put way more wear on the motor trying to turbo it

You would have to build the internals for a single cam over 200whp... sleeve it to go above 300whp

And single cams aren't kewl! They're rice! Rice, Rice baby... You should do what everyone else does (except derka) get a hatch... put a GSR in it and forget stuff like rear seats that for like older people... strip that shit out and go don't forget sweet wheels. single cams aren't kewl.

In case you don't know me... I like the single cams... any negative statements on single cams are sarcasm.

Seriously... put some rods & pistons in the D, proper fuel with uber or an SAFC and be done with it.
