Default D-series clutch..(will a

Are all D-series cable clutches interchageable.....I have an 88 crx and the clutch is going out in it....I would like to get an upgraded one for it but I don't want to spend alot of money....So I went on nopi online and the had one that was really cheap but it says for a 1.6 5 speed SI and I was wondering if that would work in my 1.5 5 speed DX.......Thanks alot guys....

yes they are the same, as long as they are cable.

that is not correct. 88 - 89 and 90 - 91 transmissions have a different amount of splines on the shaft. so a clutch for a 90 - 91 transmission will not fit on your 88 - 89 tranny. vise versa.

I 2nd that .... I used to have an 89 hatch with a D series and i learned that really quick a lot of stuff from 88 89 doesnt work on 90 91 even though most parts you buy ask 88-91.

i stand corrected, when i ordered my clutch they actually told me all the disks were the same from every d series except the d17, they said the only differences were the bearings. Thanks for the info.

was up punk? remeber me ? its tony. i got my crx finally running. u know that crank i got ? i put in and got the motor all in n everything and tried starting it and the motor seized up. yea i agree with them i had that same problem mith my clutch. there is a difference homie. but when ever u get the clutch make sure it fits on the flywheel AND the tranny splines. that happen to me one time.

also the 90 up clutch is bigger so if you got a 90 up civic or 90-91 crx flywheel and a 90-91 crx transmission it is a better setup
