Default chipping question

ok,my friend just bought a crx with a d15b in it. It's supposed to have an 8200 rpm redline according to what I read on a website that sells the motor. His redline's at 6800 rpm's but the block does say d15b~ so wrong ecu, my question is, could it just be chipped? and how much would that cost roughly (j/w what a ball park figure would be).... if anyone could lmk I'd apprecaite it, thanx

ok I will... but I have one more question as well... would there be n e benefits as far as chipping a motor with only I/H/E? I mean are there ways to get more power out of it,and if so, how much? all I wanna do is run my b16a in my crx with I/H/E (want to keep it as reliable as possible) but if it'll give me more power I'd also like to chip it... I just dunno what it would do for me so figured I'd ask

gotcha~ thanx... I'll end up researching this a lil more but figured TR was the best place to start... I'd like to see how costly it would be to up the compression a lil and upgrade the valve train in my motor and possibly THEN do the chipping but I'd aslo like to see how reliable the motor will stay~
