I just recently chipped another P28, Same as I alway do, come to find out it was an Auto ecu, Now I've heard multiple sinario's where it dose and dose not matter, I have been searching the internet and have found no real conclusion, Had anyone here ever had any luck doing this, Or can you confirm that this can/cant be done? Im running uberdata by the way.

Either way..... None knows or there not willing to share the info, Either sinario, Im used to it, I;ll eventually figure it out, one way or another, Believe me you Im used to it. Its cool.

If You Could Get Of Hold Of Kenji, He Could Answer You Question. I Think He Able To Convert It To A Manuel Ecu. Or If You Want His Website Is Kenji211.com. I Had The Same Problem And I Just Sent My Ecu Back To The Company. But I Think Kenji Could Help You Man.

 

Look on the bottom of your ecu just below your eeprom chip and you'll see a series of resistors and 0 ohm resistors (basically a jumper wire).

Desolder rp17 and rp18, then put in a jumper wire and solder it in rp18.

You've just converted your ecu from auto to manual.
