d15z1 ???

Default d15z1 ???

i have an d16z6 which need an new crank and one rod can i savage the crank and rod outta of the d15z1..i know the d15z1 is the shitty block but does its make any diffferent...thank-

no, the d16 blocks have a longer crank, and the rods themselves are longer. though the piston would fit. the crank also will not work.

the d16 has a 90mm stroke do not know the stroke of a d15 but think it would be shorter. could get some info on these at www.c-speedracing.com

it is the honda vx motor. 1.5 12 valve i believe, then vtec activates all 16 valves.

d16 crank has larger main bearings so a d15 crank will not fit into the d16 block. the d15z1 rod is a weird size as well.

BTW i might have a extra rod and piston laying around from a d16z6. i have 2 z6 motors that i took apart. i don't have any cranks left though. i have a d15 crank though but that's no good to you. depending on how bad your crank is you might just be able to have it turned.
