Default Will high comp pistons work with boost???

Ok I have a Ls with 11.8 comp pistons they are copied after the Ctr pistons but there forged..Now my question is is it possiable to Turbo this if I say... put two head gaskets on it or get a thick cometic gasket??..I heard that pop up pistons are more prone to detonation this is why Im asking..Or would I be better off getting a stock block??

cast pistons wont handle the pressurs very well. forged high comp can get away with like 8psi

Is this a street car? What does your actual compression work out to? Pump gas? Race gas? It's possible but if it's a street car I would be very hesitant pushing it on pump gas.

Im not sure on the exact comp ratio..The pistons are endyne rollerwave forged..And there exact replica's of the Ctr's.And there in a Ls block, head is not shaved block is not decked...Even with stacking headgaskets it wont lower it enough to boost it?

u may be able to get it down to about 11:1 with a thick cometic headgasket which wont exactly be boost friendly but will work ok with proper tuning and good turbo components. its been dont many times successfully so i wouldnt see why yours would be any different

NEVER stack your HG's that would be the dumbest thing you could ever do, plain and simple. If you want lower compression get a Cometic HG, remember the thicker the gasket, the more prone it will be to leak/blow. You could get that setup saftly down to,10:8:1 I would run. Run at least 93octane and a conservitave timing map and you will be ok to run around 6-10PSI, you could push more but that all dependes on the EMS system you end up going with, and how good your tuner is. Dont try to run a hack or a FMU and expect the motor to last long with that kind of compression.. Best of luck with whatever you do

and like the million questions i have ever asked mtber about this, remeber the higher the compression the less the turbo has to work ,cause your letting the motor do it all but make sure your built right cause one mistake will cost you in the way of not useing arp's or tuning

I know oldschool vw guys ( rabbits , golfs etc.) running 11-1 , 11.5-1 comp , carbed turbo motors. I am with rangcrx on this one , with the higher compression the turbo doesnt have to work nearly as much and the more power it makes.
