I'll donate fabrication skill. All my financial and parts resources are going into my project but I'll try to donate my time when I can.

some of the work can be done at CMS but the car can't be stored there since we are already limited on space. We also have a tow dolly for transport.

 

CRX? H22? If your going to race a CRX, a H22 would be too heavy. Instead get a TypeR or GSR motor and use that. The power to weight ratio would be better. Of course, I have no idea how much your planning on building this car up thou either.

Any why a CRX? Why don't you get a S2000? Far better car. I know they are expensive, but hot damn those cars are fast. I miss mine

A CRX with any B-series engine could spank an S2000, and you could have one with a B-series engine in it for less than $1000 if You know where to look. I don't think people here have an extra $16k++++ to donate for a project car.

Back to the topic, this sounds interesting. Maybe I can help somehow.

 

The weight difference of an h22a motor is insignificant compared to the power potential. Especially drag racing where if you are going to add weight it might as well be in front of the axles.

 

I'm guessing the intentions of this project is to build the car for next to nothing with donated parts and time in order to provide a platform for the users of the forum to learn and get some hands on experience building. Or am I missing the point?

Since this is your idea you are the honarary car chief for this project. If you get the car for sure make a new post listing what is needed and what we have. Inside the post body we can have a list of forum members who are willing to donate and what they are donating. Also leave a wish list.

That is exactly what this will be is a learning experiance/good way to get to know some fellow Honda people....And maby some good fun along the way..And when I get the car I would rather you or one of the other guys that are more known on this forum take the project over..I will be there every step of the way to put my .2 cents in and help every way I can...But some of you guys are years ahead of me on the tech side of it......Im trying to get the car it just sits in my friends yard...So that should be no problem but if it is what would be your guys other choice's for a car..Cause I know where a few cars are for dirt cheap that I can pick up if this falls through....
