Default My new Goals, need some suggestions!

by this coming trackday on the 29th my car will be one of the chavez motorsports cars running 12.00 and faster. As most have seen my car went a best of 12.114 @114mpm.
my current setup is the following:
stock 1998 ls b18b longblock
precision sc34-31E turbo 13 psi
spearco intercooler
greddy rs bov
tial 38mm wastegate
stock discount axels
open dif ls tranny with act stg3 disc and stage 5 pp
Chavez motorsports Downpipe
mickey thompson 22x8x15 baby slicks
brembo brakes all the way around
dsm 450 cc injectors and 255 high presure fuel pump
MTBER street tuned
Chavez motorsports Built and put together
SFP a/c compatable manifold

now my questions are the following,
i want to run stiffer springs in the rear.... what do you suggest, i believe 1250lbs springs are the heaviest....
i am debting running a coolingmist.com alchy inj system and 16psi
or a 35-50 wet shot and 13 psi.
what is the best way for me to get a 2 step into my car, and is there any way to do so and utilize mostly stock ignition?
i am wanting to pick up a set of titanium traction bars...
the car will be running a endyne breather can.
Does anyone else have any other suggestions.
i am also looking into a dif, but i dont know if i want to change trannies, b/c as of right now im shifting at 7400rpm and i am nailing the rev limiter through the traps. the only way i see a shorter geared tranny is a vtec head, so i can bang out higher revs.

i know there are a shitload of questions i just asked but any suggestions would be killer, esp fom some of the big dogs like ron jason mike and the information baller Alpha.

im just trying to get a stock longblock open dif civic into the 11s....
Chavez motorsports has helped me 110% along the way, i cant wait till track day to put 2 more cars into the 11s.

Thanks in advance for any and all info. -SloCxHatch -Matt

I'm going to suggest the same thing I suggested away from TR. The alcohol injection kit, more boost and more tuning. Talk to Mtber to see if Chrome Pro has a two step.

As of right now, Crome has a 2 step, But there is a better one still in Beta form(cuts ignition instead of fuel), It works in conjunction with Cromes FTL/FTS plugin, In order to run the 2 step you need to get a Bin that the owner/maker John made, The only thing thats trying to be worked out right now is the fact that the script wont work with the Advanced Boost tools(20X24RES Maps, and a few other goodies) It only works with reg boost tools, and the fact that we are trying to add more fuel the the plugin, to make it work tits. Right now I am able to build about 8PSi off the line, but the car seems to run a little lean, Im sure within the next few weeks the working plugin will be up and working perfect.. Other than that you can get MSD's 2 step module, It will work. Just not sure what else you need to run that way..(coil/Ign box??)

Matt go with the Alcohol Injection kit and bump it to 16 psi...And your running 11's...Aslong as you keep your 60' ft in the 1.7-1.8 range,it's gonna be a all day thing man!..Cant wait to see you and Kris conquer the feat,Damn proud of you two "Honda Boys"

Crome does have a 2 step feature. I did not enable it due to the fact that the 2 step point can only be set by modifying the eprom & Matt's speedo does not work properly.

I believe dyno tuning + more boost would put you in the 11s on the stock longblock. I just hope you added a pcv breather system.

Good luck Matt.

Yes sir. Not many people around here run it.
It is great to run, but I believe Matt can hit 11s without it.

I think by this time next year, Alchohol Injection will be as common as Turbos on hondas, Its something people are still iffy about, I was the same way untill I did about a weeks worth of reading.. Which at that time I was thinking "why hasn't this mod been more talked about than it is now" Well untill now gas hasnt been close to $3.00 a gallon, and that takes high octane fuels well up into the $5-7 range, Thats a lot of money for something that gets burned up pretty quick if you have a fast car. But with Alchohol Injecton you can get away without running that high octane fuel and still be well out of the reach of detonation. I think the more people read/hear about this "not so new mod" the more peolpe will understand its MORE than worth the $150-500 you can pick a kit up for these days. Just remeber, the kit itself wont give you big HP gains. The gains come from being able to run a more aggrissive timing curve, and more boost.. without the need for high octane fuel(but it wouldnt hurt to run it time to time.(can you say 25PSI on pump gas )
