Default Guys I need help with my mini me swap

Here goes
I got a 92 dx hb with a d15b7 block PO8 jdm 1.5 vtec head P28 ecu (convereted from automatic to stick) y8 head gasket ,bosch spark plugs ,z6 distributor
I was tols this set up was gonna produce a C/R around 10.2 to 1. I did a compresion test and I got from 181 to 187 psi on the compression test but still the car smoke gray kind of black all the spark plugs are black except for the cylinder #2 the car idle funny and from 750 rpm about till 1500 rpm kind of stall or drag .I got the haynes manual and show me that the cylinder #1 goes toward the front but my rotor is pointing towar the firewall I took the timing belt off rotate the camshaft 360 degress and still ending in the same spot .I tought the timing was set on the exhaust cycle but still doing the same thing also I was thinking I need and external coil due the high compression set up any help will be really appreciatted Thanks............Omar

You cant determine actual static compression by doing a compression test. Too many variables like cam lift/duration/overlap etc.
If you take your timing belt off and rotate your cam 360 degrees, of course it is going to be in the same position. You just turned it a complete rotation. If the car runs and idles decently, your spark firing order is probably correct...

Use some punctuatuion please so your post is not so hard to read..
Theres a thousand things that can cause all of these symptoms.Sounds like you have a few seperate issues.
CEL on? Check vacuum leaks...

Thanks for the reply and sorry for the orthografic mistakes. The c/r I figured out in this site http://www.knology.net/~jediklc/dcalc.htm 10.86 to 1 . Here is how it goes if install the plug wire # 1 on the position where the rotor actually points around 270 degrees the car backfire and won't stay running for long (run like sh.......) If I move the plug wire # 1 counterclockwise one spoot fall on around the range of 180 degrees and the car runs but still not good .And for cells is not cell on . No vacum leaks neither.Fuel preassure regulator working fine . also install anew fuel filter . Thanks for your time .............Omar

Default setting timing for #1 cylinder

I would rotate the engine by hand, while shining a flash light at the flywheel
to find the Top dead center stamping, at the time the number one cylinder comes up on compression stroke.

The way I know it's on compression is......all valves for the #1 cylinder
will be "loose in clearance". If any are tight, you are on intake or exhaust;
instead of being on compression stroke.

With the marks on the flywheel at TDC; with the #1 cylinder on
compression, I rotate the distributor, sometimes removing/replacing it,
so the rotor points to the plug wire that goes to the #1 cylinder. This gets me in the ballpark, so to speak, and I refine the motors running by using a timing light.-Bob

Was this useful to you? What part of town are you in?

i thought honda motors werent supposed to have more then a 5pound diff. on a compression check...
check your dizzy to make shure its working right.....and did you have the head checked before you put it on? sounds like you might have a few leaky valve stems...my 2cents
