clicking and a wierd smell

clicking and a wierd smell
when i turn the wheel there is a clicking but i checked the boots on the cv axle and the are not torn could they still be bad or something else and for the smell when i stop my car and turn it off there is a wierd gas/exhaust smell im lost onwhat it could be

The bearings inside the boot could be bad. Just because the boots not broken doesnt mean something isnt broken. You sure your hub is clicking and not the tranny side. Do you launch the car ? Or drive the shit out of it, Do burn outs etc etc, You could have other issues. As for the smell... You could just have an exhaust leak. How about you you give us more details like Car, Engine, Mods... Etc etc. This will better help us determine the problem.

well i have a 99 civic ex with a fully built b16 in it and it only has 950 miles on the motor and i do not launch the car or do burnouts but the noise seems to go away when the temp is higher and the motor is warmed up
