Default 2 to 4 inj.

i have a friend that has a 88-91 crx hf. he wants to switch it to 4 injectors, and has most of the parts. i know what needs to be done, but ive never done it myself. im looking for someone that can do it for him. im fairly sure all that he dosent have is the harness, but i know you can just use the hf harness, and add in the wires needed. hes got the pgm-fi manifold, and all that other crap needed. any takers? money to be made, is money to be spent.

The hf came from the factory with mpfi. If it has dpfi i'll fix that for him.

i did some looking arround at what he has laying arround.

he has a D15b2 in the crx, a D15b6 in a 94 4door (no title, never driven by him before) and a d16y7 in the garage. the crx is running, with 2 inj. the 4door not running with 4inj. and the head, and manifold taken off of the block i suggested dumping the 1.6 in the rex. if he cant get that to work out then he just wants to swap out the motor of the 4 door in the rex. has a large assortment of parts donated by civiccrx21im sure that between the 3 motors, he has what he needs. any suggestions?

oh and swapping out that motor in the 94 Civic , that thing is weaker than the DX motor , almost the same as a CRX HF 8 valve 62 HP ,

His best solution, d16Z6 head(Vtec), mounted on his stock block , converted to PGMFI= Mini ME

your know sean, whatever is cheapest. you wouldent put that z6 head on that y8 block he's got? i kinda figured that the 1.6 block would be better than the 1.5. but it would make it easier to swap out the head only comparred to pulling the whole motor.

The difference between the 1.6 and the 1.5 is not that big. You can just put the head on the stock block. Now he needs to have all the parts for his year, or model car. OBD0 dizzy, ECU, the right injectors with a resistor box, and use the stock wiring.

NOW, the HF was MPFI and was all wired up for it, but it had a smaller 1.5 engine, with a tiny intake manifold. So is it an HF or a DX or whatever it is.

If it is an HF that was latter converted to DPFI, someone is really stupid. If not the easiest way is to get the parts for the same model year, not the 94 and up, when it comes to the electronic stuff.

In the end you add a few wires, and move around some in the ECU, not that difficult.

its a DX to clear things up, He's got the complete manifold with injectors, fuel rail, and a 88-91 Si ECU,

he needs a resistor box some wire
if going with a VTEC head he'll need that with solenoid and a RPM activated switch to control VTEC .......

tell Sean get the parts and we can knock it out if he supplys the dro and beer
