Default help me out! d15z1 ??????????????????????

Hey guys i recently traded my ef hatch for a 95 cx hatch with a d15z1 swap which comes out of the 92-95 vx hatch. I wanted know if the vtec-e has a vtec selonoid or not stock? Mine does but im not sure if they come with that stock, I thought it was vtec through the ecu only. Also the car idle's really weird it would rev from 1500 to 2500 really fast i'm not sure but im supposing it is the iac and the distributor seal needs to be replaced and the guy believes he put the intake manny gasket on wrong could any of this explain why the car is acting up the way it is? I started it earlier and the rpm's jumped up and down then went to like 0 and the car stalled and it wont start back up the the kid i got it from believes he put old gas in it and that is why it was running so rough in the first place. He also told me that the o2 sencor was bad. Please lmk of what i can do to fix this problem or where i can get it fixed for a descent price thanx cya.

no, i had a d15z1 and that is the 12 valve system, obviously you know that. the vtec in that car activates the lobe to use all 16 valves instead of 12 turning it into an si head basically. the intake manifold gasket on wrong would be backwards???i duno about putting it on wrong but if he did it would block off water from the manifold to the head circulating. i dont think you can put it on backwards..correct me if im wrong someone pls. i take it you checked all the vacuum lines. maybe the rotar bunnon is not tightened down? what codes are you throwing, if any?i had like 2 year old gas in the tank and that may very well be the problem. drain the gas out of the tank with the plug on the bottom and put fresh gas in there. also, check your injectors for problems, as this was the problem of my sohc not starting and wierd idle. fill us in w/ whatever info you get next

ok! well i went out and bought new ngk plugs(seen old ones they where shot and kinda smelled like gas), some exact plug wires(old ones where a lil brown near the fron t kinda like a rusty color), and a new bosch 02 sencor, plus some octane boost and i was going to installit all but it started to rain. I will see if this does the trick maybe it just needs to get the old gas out. lmk if you have any ideas and ill kepp you ppl informed on how it goes tomorrow if it dosn't rain. thanx for all the help TTT.

what codes are you throwing, if any?i had like 2 year old gas in the tank and that may very well be the problem. drain the gas out of the tank with the plug on the bottom and put fresh gas in there. also, check your injectors for problems. listen man, i am trying to help. swap out the gas, it is a major problem if its old. if you donjt think its getting spart get a timing gun and stick in on any wire to see if it blinks. if it blinks its fine, check to make sure your fuel pump is working by either disconnecting the fuel line or listen for a whirr from the pump. if its getting fuel and spark then check your injectors. also, they ARE suppose to come w/ a vtec solenoid.i said earlier "that is the 12 valve system, obviously you know that. the vtec in that car activates the lobe to use all 16 valves instead of 12 turning it into an si head basically". you have to have a solenoid to engage the lobe.
