OK this is going to be pretty long....

last couple of days my ac has been acting up, cutting in and out alot, and i can feel the compressor vibrating/pulsating on the drivers floorboard intermitantly....

today i go to start my car and no luck.. just kinda whirred and tried to turn over, i tried to roll it back n pop start it, i wasnt rolling fast enough and the car just jolted.. then i goto start it normal and it starts up, but god damn is it making some noises.. almost like a bed slamminginto the wall during sex. It was horrible, i turned it off shortly after, the noise is very loud, almost too loud to be coming from the block...

I was thinking maybe my compressor locked up after i turned the car off about an hour prior to this.. and upon initial start up it couldnt crank because of that stopping it, then when i tried to pop start it, maybe something broke free inside, and now the noise i hear is it binding up, or bits of it coming apart...

Like i said the Noise is super loud, and i dont think it could be from the block

its a 98 jdm itr motor with roughly, 50k on it... and ac compressor however is a 95 from a gsr and its been used in florida for 10years...

any help or suggestions are appreciated...

prolly not a rod knock, like you said. take the a/c belt off and see if it still does it. if not, then its yer compressor. or you can just start it again and get out and listen to it, see if its comming from the compressor or the block. listening to the motor from under the hood can usually reveal what/where the sound is comming from. never heard of this happening, although it is possible.

thanks, yea, my buddy is gonna goto my house and listen and cut the ac belt around 930 tonight, was just trying to get some ideas
