i think you are correct, that is why you need an ecu made for vtec.when on a rpm switch it cant sense the extra air so it doesnt add the extra fuel. thats my 2 cents worth of logic. but sometimes logic can be wrong...

 

i know, thats why i asked people to correct me if im wrong, i dont actually "know" this but this is what i infered from knowing what a map sensor does, and knowing that hondas dont use those stupid air flow sensors that eclipses use. man, does it make putting an intake on easier.
