My RPMs drop drasticaly when i turn on my ac and the belt squeaks i have readjusted the belt several times and lubricated it. and when i idle the rpms will drop down to 200 or 0 and the car will almost stall. now even when i idle with no ac the rpms wil stay at about 500 and when i push the clutch in when driving i will sometimes get as low as 200.
this happened once before and the car stalled out and i ended up having to get my engine coils replaced. I dont know if it is a wiring problem or what it is nobody seems to know what it is. i dont really know what it is, how much to fix it or who would fix it. if you have any questions u can email me at rwalton20@hotmail.com or instant message at dailyfacade84

what year make car do you own? low idle is either due to gumed up t/body or bad iac valve. as far as the a/c could be over charged or no fans causing causing the compresser to bog down the engine . get the car to idle at 750-800 rpm first and recheck the a/c.

I haven a feeling your compressor is bad.
What is going on here, is the compressor is sticking when you turn the AC on. Once that clutch engages, and the pulley doesn't want to move. It will slow down everything attached to that compressor. In this case it's your crank. Your engine tries to stay running, and so the belt is going too slow, and gets dragged on by the crank pulley. There's your squeek. The motor is idling so low because that belt is trying to only let it spin as fast as the compressor can spin. Eventually that belt will break. You need to get a new AC compressor, and a new belt.

replace the clutch and coil on the compressor. Also make sure you have enough refregeriant oil in the compressor. I think its like 2oz. All honda compressors come with oil already in them if you where to buy new. But for 50 bucks for a another compessor thats not bad at all. You would probably spend around 160 or more to replace the coil and clucth on yours. Thats if this is all ac related like it sounds like? You say only when you turn on ac does your car stall or nearly stall out?

replacing the clutch and coil will do nothing if the car has no problems w/ the a/c off. if the problem only happens when the ac is turned on the coil is working .the clutch spins the whole time the motor is running regardless if the a/c is on or off. the compresser could be locking up but that would show at any speed not just idle.

does this problem only happen when the a/c is running? if not try removeing the a/c belt and see how it drives, if it drives good then you know its the compressor. if not than you have more than 1 problem.

what!?!? The clutch does not spin the entire time the motor is runing. Only when the ac is turn on or comes on. And no you would not know if the compessor is locking up with the ac off.
Seriously I would just by that guys compressor have the system recovered. Recharge with pat oil if your system is r12 iam not sure if you can use it on 134. You will be fine. For the sqeaky belts if there old replace them or if there cracked. If there to tight they can cause bearing damage on the drive pulleys. Like the ac compressor, alternator etc.. If its to loose it will squeal etc..
