that is kind of what i was figuring ...but with a high comp ratio motor wouldnt the EGT's be higher then normal? therefore affecting the WB?

i dont understand what your saying, sure they'll be higher, but the wideband is there just to sense the amount of oxygen left in the exhaust. Its still readding what it need to give an accurate measurement of oxygen no matter how hot it gets unless it is soo hot it burns up. BUt ive see people place there 02 sensors right behind the turbo with no adverse affects other than maybe shortening the life of the sensor.

Actually, if it is also too close to the end it will affect the readings at idle and make you think something is up. If you question the location, check the readings against your laptop and wideband while around 3k rpms.

+1 it happend to me i ran open header one night and my car was running all crazy at idle and while driving i have a ITR header where the o2 hole is at the end of the header.

Where is our engineer reply/answer for this question

Had this happen. Modified a stock exhaust (cut, weld, etc) to fit the downpipe. We will see if it works tomorrow.
