I was working on finishing the a/c in this hatch, and I was just playing around and noticed that a z6 compressor will bolt up to the Ls bracket with 2 bolts.. the front 2.. and it fit. I was just wondering if anyone has ever done this.. and if so is it safe to run the a/c with only the 2 front bolts? Oh and one other thing... I have the 2 lines that go from the compressor to the condensor on one and the other line on the other.. but there not the right ones.. they look right, but I know that there not.. does anyone know if eg lines are different than ek lines? I'm not sure if thats what I have but I'm guessing that would be the difference in them. If someone is an a/c genius please post up your Ideas to make this work. Thanks -Ben

2nd question: Can that bracket be drilled to hold more than the 2 bolts at the front?

 

Get the del sol p54 A/C bracket and all four bolts will fit. Running just two will be ok temporarily but I wouldn't run it permanently like that.

 

Thanks for the info, I seen a bracket up for sale on tr, I'll have to pick it up! and the front 2 bolts just lined up to fit. I got the right lines so we'll find out tomorrow if it works! thanks -Ben

 

i have the del sol bracket... i got lucky and found it now i will have a/c as of tomarrow.... also you can run it like that... but as kj said it is not a good perm. solution.....

 

Ben I gave u an LS, z6, and gsr compressor, use one of the b-series jackasss

 

b-series compressors dont work in an eg or ek platform. you would need custom lines made

 

Ok i got everything hooked up and ready to go.. and the compressor was bad.. it was seized completly. does anyone know anybody with a single cam compressor out of an eg? Thanks -Ben
