Default Putting in an automatic transmission, need help

Hey guys I picked up the tranny from a junkyard with warrenty on it. Im no mechanic so my pops is doing it for me, he used to work on cars ALL the time, replaced engines blah blah blah including work on his semi-truck. But that was a while back so hes never really had a job like this putting in an auto. He already took out the tranny and already placed the new one in its place, is there anything we need to worry about?? On the slip from the junkyard tranny it says properly align torque convertor and adjust throttle position sensor cable, i dont think he did any of that, what do we need to worry about/do??? Sorry for probably asking a stupid question but i just want to be safe.

The torque converter needed to be properly aligned before the tranny goes in the car. The throttle postion cable is adjusted by loosening the locknuts and adjusting the cable in/out till there is no slack in the cable but not enought tension to move the spring arm on the tranny.
