92-95 civic swap
I was under the impression that the b16 swap into a 92-95 hatch was a bolt in swap ( with the exception of the axles). But I keep seeing questions about the shift linkage. so what is the deal, do I need to get different shift linkage? does the stock linkage need to be shortened, will the linkage that the b16 used in my crx work with the hatch and the b16.
also what year axles do I need, If I remember the crx took the 93 integra non abs. I still have the intermediate shaft as well.
I also know I need the conversion kit for the cable tranny in a hydro car.
the ecu is a p28 with hondata, so that is taken care of.
what else am I missing?

yes the b16 is a bolt in for the EG chassis, it all depends on the year of the motor and what drivers side engine bracket that is on there, mine was an OBD1 model but had a weird bracket on there, so i just inbolted the one form my single cam and used the GSR big mount for the drivers side, which is what most people do.
as far as shift linkages go, yo need an integra linkage, the del sol will not work it is unique to only the del sol, and you cannot use the one from you crx, i know it suck but thats how it goes.
as far as axles, i used 99 integra gsr non ABS in mine and they work just fine, no issues at all. the intermediate shaft that is on your motor is fine to work with other axles as well

yeah the engine is OBD 0, but you can make it work with a few mods, you will need to use your civic harness and swap a few of the plugs, as far as a shift linkage 94+ TEG works fine, any model including ITR like i have(got it on accident).
the way you check the bracket between the timing belt is....are the studs paralell or are they staggered in any which way, if they are paralell then they will work with your factory chassis engine mount, if not swap them out with a sohc unit that you know will bolt into your car. you dont need to remove the timing cover for the 3rd bolt, just drill thru the plastic and remove it that way, soooo much easier!

the motor is an obd0 motor, that was converted to obd1. I am also looking at an obd1 motor (jdm b16 sir II) for the swap. I want to say the bolts are straight in line, but it has been a while since I popped the hood. and if they are not then I will use the sohc mount for that side.
I have another ? about the tranny. The one going i is a cable a1 and the one that is in it now is a hydro. I know I need a conversion kit but does anyone but hasport make one?

i think there is a couple knock offs out there now, i know even the hasport unit takes some adjusting to get it set up right and can be a slight pain in the booty!
just make sure that even if you use an OBD 0 motor, use an OBD1 dizzy, dont try to do the hardwiring crap, it just leads to issues later on down the road

the obd0 motor was converted to obd1 ( using a gsr dizzy ) when I got hondata, p28 ecu, and if I go with the jdm sir ll it's already obd1.
by your reference to the conversion kit as a few knock offs are out there I take it that the hasport is the best one.
