CAI on eBay ..
I'm somewhat new to the mod scene and figured a CAI would be a decent place to start with adding a few ponies to my ride .. Was scoping ebay and found this up for bids .. was hoping to get some input on this from some of the more experienced people here on the forums

If your vehicle is lowered, do your self a favor. Buy a shortram intake.
The difference between a cold air & a short ram intake is maybe 1-2 whp.
Considering how much it rains in FL its not worth 2 whp.

cold air intake....
i got my car pretty low but never had problems with rain for 4 years already. and with a CAI, you can always switch to short ram later during rainy season. ( as long as you get the CAI that can be shortened later by taking out the extension pipe and the coupler)

cai intake is so much better than short ram, with cai you will have smoother acceleration under normal getting up to speed i dont know if anyone else notices that but i do, the only thing that is good about a short ram to me is when you immediately mash the gas, it responds good. ON my cai ive had the filter wet, it wont do anything unless you really get it soaked and floor it, ive had it soaked before, when you know its soaked then dont floor the car and you will be fine, just dont submerge the car in a huge puddle and you will be fine.

Like said before, I bought a CAI off of eBay for 40 bucks, did not come with bypass valve, went through big puddle, now its bye bye d15b7, so if I were you dont even worry about the CAI and just get a short ram, I wont stand by to see another engine go for such a dumb reason as getting like 1 or 2 hp, seriously... Anyways, engine is out now and LS is going in, so I guess there is a good ending to it after all

OMG! Yea man like smooth acceleration is due to a longer fucking intake
WTF! the difference a CAI or a short ram does to your stock motor is almost NOTHING if not worse...gawd
