Clutch Problems
Clutch Problems
Hey guys I'm having a problem with what I think is air getting into my hydraulic clutch lines, to give you a heads up i have replaced both my master and slave cylinder and have replaced my clutch...and yesterday replaced my throwout bearing..... i just recently started having trouble getting into gear so i replaced that throw out bearing, which ended up being an expensive and time consuming mistake as i later found out that it was air in the lines, i am not losing fluid and i have no idea how air is getting into the lines any help would be appreciated. thanks guys

i had a similar problem...and it turned out that the throw out bearing that i had wasnt compatable with my clutch disc....the bearing was holding the clutch against the flywheel you should check that out.....i ended up replacing everything too because i had never heard of a problem like this before so dont feel bad.
on a teg....oem bearging + act 6 puck = problems.

are you sure you are bleeding it properly? Its just like bleeding the brakes. Pump the clutch pedal and turn the bleeder. Better to get someone to help you so you get a firm pedal.
hey bro, i had a similar probloem with the clutch pedal sticking to floor, or only coming up half way during a 1/4 mile passes, it sucked ass.
when i did re bleed it, it literally took me like an hour, and about 40 squirts to get it all out. the air is a bitch, and if you cant really bench bleed a slave cylinder like you can a master, did you bled the master cylinder as well?

yeah i have act extreme with steet disk, and i am bleeding it correctly, it is fine for like 30 minutes of driving
then suddenly i can't get into gear as if it is the throw out bearing, it is driving me crazy. i'm thinking about getting a single person vacume bleeder to see if that fixes it. just incase my help isn't really helping if you guys are familiar with that problem at all

try to get access to a air compressor and a vacula. <that might not be the right way to spell it. Its a pretty good tool to bleed brakes etc.. It does take awhile to get all the air out of the system either way.
have a 21 gallon air compressor, but i need to look into that vacula thingy if any one has a link to it that would make me be more lazy/helpful ...the search button is so far away
