im jus tryin to get a basic check list of the extra shit i need besides the obvious. like do i need a d16 alternator? but i know i need the dizzy and wires for the d16. also i have the d16 intake mani. but no fuel rail...can i use the 1.5 fuel rail for now? also i know i need a cam gear, which one should i get...aftermarket or will a d16 stock 1 do fine? hmmm...only other things i can think of is head gasket, vavle cover gasket, manifold gaskets, d16 timing belt. anything im missing, please help me out guys thanks!!

 

You do not need a cam gear. You can use your original fuel rail. Take the oil squirter thingy out of the block. CIVIC VX TIMING BELT if using a 1.5 block. z6 dizzy (assuming your using a z6 head). need a little more about what engine's components your using.

yeah im using a 1.5 block and a z6 head. well the 1.6 head didnt have the cam gear...so i can use the 1.5 gear? also the fuel rail and injectors will be fine from the 1.5 head? on that write up from honda-tech it says to use the d16z6 timing belt where as the VX belt was to tight?? also it says the plugwires dont interchange. other than those 2 things and the dizzy is there anything else you guys can think of??

 

i used the vx timing belt on mine, and it wasnt to tight for me!
