i have a 94 ex civic.. that is chipped out.. and it feels like i am not putting out power past 5 grand if anyone knows....whats up lmk...

 

dependson the chip, i mean who really knows what kind it is and what the settings are.

alot of people advertise the "spoon style chip" or the "skunk2 chip" but really WTF does that mean to the consumer, and do they have the supporting mods and safety precations to use such a chip.

perhaps the tourque dies off?

 

maybe vtec isnt engaging?

 

maybe its rich as hell, timing is pulled, lean as hell????

you may never know because you or someone who tuned it for you didnt tell you or save the settings for you or didnt inform you of what was being done to your car?

get someone to re chip it and street tune it

 

^^^^+382746872364 Ive always wondered what the hell is a chipped ecu?And what is it chipped for?Every car is different so I seriously doubt a generic chip would see any power gains.I sometimes wonder if a chip even does anything at all besides take out your rev limiter and help you blow up your car

john its me man.. the kid you did the clutch for.. eric..the chip works...just lately its only putting down power till 5 grand... vtec engages.. embahmm you can hear it... just revs out out no power past 5..

 

My buddy has the same problem in his mini-me coupe, does it start breaking up a little bit too? The only thing we havent changed out is injectors, could that be the remaining problem? Or something else to do with the fuel system?
