i want to remove the carpet to put in new carpet, but i cant seem to figure out how to get the foot rest rubber piece off so i can remove the carpet. i didnt want to break it so i didnt try to pull it out. anyone know?

 

take a small flat head screwdriver or the tip of a knife and pry the tread part off....then there are two bolts underneath...
