Default Changing the guts out of distributors . .

I need a obdo distributor for my y8 head. But is obd0 electronics. I have 1 Ls obd2 distributor , 1 b16 distributor and 1 99 y5 distributor from the hx civic. I also have my crx si distributor that has been hacked into when running the msd actavtor (vtec on the switch) the wire that you cut to run to the msd switch was cut down to far to repair in the dizzy. Its the yellow wire(maybe a ground?)

Has anyone tried to interchange any of these? Maybe just cut the obd0 dizzy plugs and use the wires from the obd2 dizzy.

Or does anyone want to trade any of the above distributors for a obd 0 dizzy?

You need to use the obd0 dizzy and internal components like the trigger wheels and pickups. You can switch out the internal wiring of an obd0 dizzy pretty easy. The obd2 stuff won't fit perfect. Find another non-dpfi obd0 dizzy and swap the internal wiring, done this before.

you can not use a obd1 or obd2 dizzy with a obd0 ecu..it will not read from the distributor.if the wire you are saying is to short on the crx dizzy you have then just solder and heat shrink a new wire on it..

Use the OBD0 D series distributor as is...it will bolt on to a Y8 head no problem.<unlike on a Z6 head which requires modification>
You need one from either a 89-91 Civic Si 88-91 CRX Si or HF. DX will not work with MPFI.
As stated before...the OBO0 ecu needs the OBO0 distributor.
