coilover sleeves have to cut rear cup?

coilover sleeves have to cut rear cup?
when doing my rear struts im puttings coilover sleeves on them should i cut the cut at the bottom like in this picture?

you cut only if you want to go uber low....your instructions should have mentioned that....you don't need to cut, i didn't when i had some shit coilovers on my stock struts

I don't know if these parts are interchangeable but wouldn't hurt to try. I have lca rears from a 93 and one from a 94 integra. You can have them for free if you want to come pick them up and see if they fit. Iam in clearwater. Which side is it?
