Default oil light

The oil light keeps coming on when I drive my crx. What could cause it to light up. The oil level is not low because I changed the oil today. I don't take my car over 2500 RPMs, the idles at like 500RPMs, could this be the reason?
The engine is a d16a1 with forged everything and I just installed comp cams with ferrera springs on a ported and polished head. Where's the oil pressure sensor? maybe it's loose or dirty.

Sensor should be on the back of the block like above the oil filter

You actually may have low oil pressure....
Get an oil pressure guage.

Could be bad oil pump, or you could be losing oil pressure somewhere

Make sure your oil pickup isnt clogged, very common if you previously spun a bearing. -Ben

I changed the oil and put full synthetic only instead, the oil light doesn't light up anymore. maybe be I should not use cheap oil on a built motor

Yeah, I fixed that by advancing the ignition timing.
