Default LS swap?

hey i met a guy up here in ohio with a '92 hatch thats almost identical to my '91 except for he has an LS swap in his... he took me for a ride and i was pretty impressed... he told me that he could get me an LS longblock, ecu, and everything i need for only a couple hundred dollars... does this sound right? i thought that an LS was around 1-2 grand but he says that he can find like '90 integra LS's all day and get the motor for that price... is that the same as the LS in the '94 and newer integra's?

would it be wise to go with an OBDO swap first since i dont have any money and then switch to OBDI later on down the road? would this swap have the same amount of power as the newer '94 and up LS's? Thanks a lot for your help

the deals are out there i have buddies in different states that sell obd 1 ls swaps for 800 all the time they buy them for cheaper too. I would think that if you found a good source you could get it for a good price.

your car is obd 0...for ease just buy the obd 0 one and leave it in. the difference is what...like 10 horse? WOOOOO. not worth the extra money, especially if they're saying it's $1000 more.

its an ls...not much power until you turbo it just get obd 0 and boost it, then worry about finding someone to tune your obd 0

Yeah, it's a little harder to find someone, http://zdyne.com/secuhome.html. Since you're not a local, I won't give you any names..
