Default Honda Prelude jdm h22 Distributor Cap help

What distributor cap fits a 93 prelude JDM H22? Because the regular h22 doesn't fit. I think its because of the internal or external coil difference.

You sure you got a dist cap off of a USDM OBD-I H22A ? Sometimes the parts stores will give you the wrong part ... take your original cap off and take it with you .

I was told that a 93 civic would work but I was just trying to find out before I ordered off the internet.

I'am not sure the civic distributor cap will work ... but i do know that alot of the guts are the same among honda distributors . Just get a distributor cap for a 94 h22a prelude ... you will be fine . They don't cost that much at local parts stores ... so i don't see why you should order it off the net and sit their and wait for it to arrive.

jdm is internal coil; usdm is external coil.
you can do what i did, and go to automotive engineering and they have a few h22 caps; and get an external msd coil and wire it up yourself. perfect fix.

94 civic si cap is the right cap. The coil if you ever need one is also a 94 civic si.

I used a D16Z6 cap/rotor for my h22. Fits great.

+1 i used a d16 cap for my JDM h22(95 civic EX). then i purchased the ricer see-thru cap from moroso, they have a cap for the JDM h22.

another thing, if your actual distributor goes out, you can only use a JDM h22 distributor, none of the others will fit. its much easier to switch to external coil with the MSD system, thats what i just did two weeks ago.
